From 1952 to 1968 Osamu Tezuka wrote and drew a regular manga series called Tetsuwan Atomu, or MIGHTY ATOM. The manga was adapted for TV as an animated series called ASTRO BOY. The rest is the beginning of a worldwide phenomenon.
Now the original MIGHTY ATOM manga comics are back in print in English thanks to the fine people at DARK HORSE.
