Impact Comics is proud to announce an evolution of its long running association with The Canberra Roller Derby League with the launch of its pilot program of DERBY DELIVERIES.
Customers in nearby offices and businesses will soon be able to have their comics and more delivered directly to their desk, tea room, or shop counter by a high speed and highly skilled roller derby player!
The pilot program will only be available to Civic offices to begin with while the bugs are ironed out but plans are afoot to expand to other town centres and even Brindabella Business park with the added use of linking bus services.
The Canberra Roller Derby players recruited to perform the deliveries have been secretly scoping out the inner city streets in recent weeks identifying smoothest paths. Some unexpected difficulties with escalators and revolving doors have been specifically taken into account with estimated delivery times.
The program is expected to be fully rolled out by midyear when many of the local offices are filled with government employees that have trouble leaving their desks at lunch.
The first DERBY DELIVERIES are due to start with this Friday’s new comics and some setting up of tracking is needed before the first deliveries so any customers that think they’d qualify for the Civic pilot program are encouraged to contact the shop with the full details of their work location by the end of business on Tuesday.
