Free Comic Book Day Celebrating 20 years

Free Comic Book Day is a single day when participating comic book specialty shops around the world give away comic books absolutely free to anyone who comes into their shops. (it’s usually in May… but who needs rules in an apocalypse?)

Are they really free?
Yep! There are limits to make sure everyone gets to enjoy the day, so bring your friends!

What comics will be free?
The free comics are specially printed for the day by the biggest publishers.
Keep an eye out for the announcement of the titles on the 16th of March HERE>>

Can I dress up?
You sure can! Whether that means wearing your niftiest sharpest suit, a costume from a toy store, or a cosplay that you spent hours perfecting, we want to see all of them!

Will there be capacity limits or Covid related safety measures?
We’ll be operating under whatever safety measures are recommended by ACT Health. We’ll update these requirements closer to the date. Booking a free ticket to attend might be required, so stay tuned!

Stay tuned for more details soon!

Double Serenity on Free Comic Book Day!

Well, almost!

Not only does this year’s Dark Horse Comics offering offer a brand new Serenity story (in fairy tale form!) There is also a free comic of SPECTRUM… a comic based on the fictitious sci-fi TV show from the web series CON-MAN – which is written by and stars Alan Tudyk & Nathan Fillion, based on their experiences since FIREFLY & SERENITY.

Confused? Good. Read more Double Serenity on Free Comic Book Day!
