The Last Phantom
The Last Phantom The Phantom is the most popular and well loved comic character in Australia. The Australian publisher, Frew, has been producing comics of The Phantom for over 60 years! In the US the Phantom publishing schedule has been less consistent.

The latest publisher to take up the mask and the purple tights is Dynamite Entertainment!
Dynamite Entertainment have made a name for themselves for resurrecting forgotten costumed heroes with their Project Superpowers and Lone Ranger comics and more recently with The Green Hornet.

Dynamite have decided to begin at the end with The Last Phantom THIS WEEK (Issue 1 will be on shelves Friday 20th August) as their first comic series to feature the Ghost Who Walks.
Superstar artist Alex Ross has redesigned the classic hero for this tale with a brutal new look (don't worry, that's berry juice.) The Phantom often gets little tweaks to his costume for stories in other eras, but never before anything this dramatic!
Check out an interview here.
UPDATE! Dynamite acquires the rest of the Defenders of the Earth...

Green Lantern is revealed!
Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern With the San Diego Comic-Con International about to start all of the mainstream media are getting excited about comic book movies.
So as a celebration of Comic-Con Entertainment Weekly have used their front cover to unveil the completely computer generated costume from the upcoming Green Lantern movie!
Collider.com provided this HUGE super hi resolution version of the image.
Ryan Reynolds (fresh from playing Deadpool in the Wolverine movie for rival comic publisher Marvel) has been filming all his scenes in a grey body suit so that the glowing green space cop uniform of the Green Lantern Corp could added digitally in post production. This is the first image of the final product, looking decidedly... sinewy. What do you think?
