Look at this…. Seriously! WTF?! This was drawn by a 15 year old kid who had just discovered comics. His first comic book was Iron Man. He loved the art in his comics so much that he decided THIS is what he wants to do for a living. But look at the drawings. Not a chance he's gonna make it, right? Let's skip to 2008, many years later that kid would end up drawing Iron man on some sketch cards. (Spoiler alert: that kid is me.) So years later, after breaking in, I kinda got to draw Iron Man for money. I think it was $3-$5 per card. Not great, but it's a start! And man… look at that 2008 style. Funky (ugly) proportions… lots of energy but no control. Later in 2010 I did some more cards. I actually really like this Tony Stark to this day. Has a little something classic in it mixed with the modern. I'm getting better at drawing. Finally! Fast forward again to 2018 and now I'm getting ready to draw Iron man in some actual comics! Who would have thought that 15 year old kid would actually 'get there' from those early rough sketches? My point is, I had nothing special other than being too stubborn to think I would do anything but draw comics. You've heard it a million times… just keep practicing and you'll get better… well, here's the proof at a glance. It might take years, in fact, it will take years, but if you truly want it – go for it. – – – PS: I'm gathering some files for a special edition of Ozmosis Chills we are making for my signing/pre-order party @impactcomics on December 15th. This will be a rare and exclusive sketchbook with tonnes of my Avengers related art (including my Iron Man from when I was 15!) #motivation
